The Crypto Council for Innovation (CCI), a consortium dedicated to crypto lobbying, announced Monday that it has appointed former World Economic Forum executive Sheila Warren to the role of its CEO. At the World Economic Forum, Warren Warren led executive strategy development and management for the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. 

Sheila Warren said in the announcement: "The crypto ecosystem is poised to deliver large-scale economic growth, empower communities, and improve lives all over the world. I am excited to drive CCI’s mission of realizing the transformative potential of crypto through education and advocacy for a responsible, forward-thinking global policy environment that will ensure that crypto’s benefits are accessible to all people, regardless of their current economic privilege."

Founded in April 2021 by Block, Coinbase, Fidelity Digital Assets and Paradigm, CCI has become a significant lobbying force in Washington, with Andreessen Horowitz (A16z) and Ribbit Capital among its members.
