Only Fans is the latest social media platform to get into the non-fungible token (NFT) action. Only Fans, an internet content subscription service known for adult content, has launched a service which allows users to use verified NFTs as their profile picture.
The London-based company will only support NFTs minted on the Ethereum blockchain and with an Ethereum icon next to the NFT picture to authenticate it, according to Reuters.
According to the company, the 50 million-user company introduced the feature in December of 2021, when the newly-appointed CEO, Ami Gan, took over.
"Our mission is to empower creators to own their full potential," Gan said in a statement to Reuters. "This feature is the first step in exploring the role that NFTs can play on our platform."
