France’s markets regulator, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), is contemplating a regulatory sandbox, which would allow it to study the impact of security tokens in the European Union.
According to an announcement on March 6, the AMF proposed a European “Digital Lab” regulatory sandbox that would allow regulators to waive Security settlement related requirements.
The AMF believes that the sandbox could potentially result in the development of security token market infrastructure that may lead to a secure legal environment.
