Aaron Rodgers, Serena Williams and Odell Beckham Jr. (OBJ) joined Cash App’s Bitcoin lead Miles Suter at Miami Bitcoin 2022, an annual Bitcoin conference, to discuss all things the King of Crypto has and will do for these star athletes and other participants around the world.

Suter asked these mega athletes all sorts of questions related to Bitcoin, other forms of cryptocurrency, their financial investments and what they think is on the horizon for Bitcoin.

The famous tennis star, Williams, talked about her early-stage investment firm, Serena Ventures and their plans with crypto.

“At Serena Ventures we are just looking at different opportunities. We also, like you mentioned, invest in Lolli where you can also have an opportunity to invest in Bitcoin through purchases and rewards. So that’s been a really good portfolio company for us as well. It’s a lot happening in the cryptocurrency world and obviously I think it’s all being led by Bitcoin.”

Lolli is a rewards app that gives you Bitcoin when you shop at your favorite stores. Lolli works with over 1,000 top brands including Nike, Chewy, Priceline and Ebay. It is currently only offered in the U.S., but plans to broaden their reach to more countries around the world.

Reigning NFL league MVP Rodgers had a lot to say about Bitcoin and the digital world. He talked about his partnership with Cash App, new lingo he’s become aware of like “sats” and how he got involved with Bitcoin.

Rogers pointed out that he is very curious about the evolution of the crypto world but gave a disclaimer to all listening.

“The only thing that could get in the way of the crypto revolution is the government and I think that will be interesting to see how that plays out in the next five to 10 years,” Rodgers said.

Rogers also  noted that he really values conducting his own research when learning about something new. He reached out to a lot of experts in the field to help him do so.

“I personally talked to people that have been in the space for a long time who think it’s going to $500,000 a coin and I talked to the crypto analyst at my financial institution that believes it’s going to zero,” Rodgers said.

Rogers also talked about the bold step he made in converting some of his paycheck from the NFL into Bitcoin through Cash App. He acknowledged that Russel Okung, an NFL offensive tackle, got him into thinking more about Bitcoin when Okung announced he would take almost $7 million of his salary in the form of Bitcoin.

When talking about Bitcoin at large OBJ said “you have to get with it or you’re going to get left behind.”
