Golden State Warriors to Drop Responsive NFT Playoff Collection

The Golden State Warriors (GSW) announced they are launching their first-ever responsive NFT collection on Friday, April 15 at 12:00 PT via FTX US NFT marketplace in recognition of their upcoming NBA playoff campaign, where they are the third seed in the Western Conference. 

The San Francisco-based basketball team’s NFT collection is their second NFT collection and will be minted on the Solana blockchain via FTX. The collection features 2,999 NFTs made up of 11 unique designs randomly assigned when minted, each with a unique level of rarity, utility and benefits. 

The responsiveness is an adaptive NFT that changes based on the team’s progress in the tournament. 

Some of the most rare NFTs will include riding on the Warriors championship float, a game-worn Klay Thompson jersey, autographed team memorabilia and more. The Crown Jewel, as they put it, of the NFT collection is a 1-of-1 Special Edition Gold Bar All Access Pass. This is the only NFT that will be auctioned off in the auction, the others will be randomly assigned. 

The one-of-a-kind NFT offers truly once in a lifetime experiences such as being able to sign a ‘one day contract’ with the sports team, becoming an honorary captain for the day, attending a courtside shootaround and more. 

Each GSW Playoff NFT will sell for $499.99 per unit except for the “Crown Jewel.” Fans will need a verified FTX US account with at least $499.99 to mint and participate. 

The upcoming NFT collection will follow the Warriors’ last NFT sale which holds the record for the highest sports NFT sale to date, sold for 285.111 ethereum which was valued at $871,591 at the time of settlement. 

The Golden State Warriors are the three seed out of eight in the Western Conference and will start their playoff run against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, April 16 at 5:30 p.m. PT.
