New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has received backlash from some of their rivals for keeping its historic trading floor in lower Manhattan open.
Head of U.S. markets at Nasdaq Inc, Tal Cohen, said in an interview with Wall Street Journal that “all exchanges should be able to run electronically in this day and age, thereby not unnecessarily putting people at risk in this environment."
CME's Terry Duffy expressed similar feelings, adding he found it "kind of amazing that the NYSE trading floor is still open."
