Our Happy Company, a creator economy infrastructure initiative, announced Thursday it has raised $7.5 million in a seed round led by Infinity Ventures Crypto and Animoca Brands to continue growing and developing OurSong, a music/social non-fungible token (NFT) platform, which launched earlier this year.
OurSong is a subsidiary of Our Happy Company, which was co-founded by music icon John Legend, KKBOX CEO Chris Lin and founder of Twitch Kevin Lin. Our Happy Company’s first product is OurSong which helps musicians of all kinds turn their daily creativity into a tradable asset to better monetize their content and build community among their friends.
However, OurSong isn’t just for musicians. The company's mission is to unleash the value of everyone’s creativity and make it into a tradable commodity and bringing the ability to create your own NFTs to the masses. With OurSong, creators and users can discover, create and trade NFTs.
“Since OurSong launched earlier this year, we’ve seen a community quickly grow on the platform as creators harness this technology to engage with their fans in new and unique ways. Together with our partners and investors, we’ll be able to supercharge this growth,” said Chris Lin, co-founder and CEO of Our Happy Company.
Furthermore, OurSong prides themselves on offering an easy-to-use mobile experience that makes NFT ownership much more accessible than other complicated and costly processes. It also allows creators to attach content and privileges to each NFT, like access to music, chatrooms, etc. These NFTs can also be constantly updating, creating an extremely unique experience for owners.
The mobile app that launched in February already has 150,000 users. The application is compatible with Ethereum, Binance Chain and Thundercore. Users set the price to their assets using the app’s native token, OurSong dollar (OSD).
The company is headquartered in Singapore with offices in Taipei and Los Angeles.
