Cryptocurrency scammers are taking an economic beating from the COVID-19 outbreak, according to forensics firm Chainalysis.

Research released on Friday shows a considerable drop in profit made through cryptocurrency scams since the start of the year. On a seven-day moving average, scammers saw their revenue drop from $800,000 worth of cryptocurrency in the middle of January to below $300,000 at the beginning of April.
