HTC, the consumer electronics giant, will allow users to mine monero (XMR) cryptocurrency on its EXODUS 1S blockchain smartphone.

According to an announcement on Friday, HTC partnered with ASIC chip design company Midas Labs for the initiative. Midas Labs have developed and app called DeMiner. The app will automatically deactivate mining whenever the phone is in regular use or when the charger is unplugged.
