Coindesk’s Consensus 2022 festival, a four-day digital assets and blockchain-based conference, kicked off Thursday morning at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. Consensus started in 2015, and has continued to grow and gain more attention ever since.

Here is a look at their Twitter, to keep everyone updated on all things taking place over the next four days.

Consensus prides itself on being the only festival/conference that covers all aspects of the blockchain, including finance, investing, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), decentralized finance (DeFi), web3, the metaverse and regulations will all be covered at large along with niches in these categories.

This year Consensus 2022 will host developers, creators, investors, policymakers, executives and academics to cover the most pressing issues in the space along with a wide variety of other topics. Some of the key speakers include FTX CEO, Sam Bankman-Fried, President and CEO of PayPal, Dan Schulman, Founder and CEO of Binance, Changpeng “CZ” Zhao and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. Of course there are many other fascinating speakers that round out the roughly 500 speakers that will be in attendance.

Given that the Consensus 2022 is a festival, it will feature musical performances and other “after-hour” activities like happy hour, dinner and other presentations.

If you are not attending in real life, the festival offers a virtual pass where you will be able to virtually sit in on discussions that you are most interested in. The pass is $99, and Coindesk gives you the option to pay through traditional means or crypto. It also gives you 30 day on demand access to anything you missed or want to rewatch.

The general admission pass for all things in person is $1599.

Here is the schedule for the opening day of the festival. It features Beeples and Apes and Punks, Oh My: How to Buy, Sell and Create NFTs, CFTC's Vision for Crypto Regulation, Standing Out in a Crowded Field: How to Break Through the Noise and Scanning, Trying and Scaling: Fidelity’s Journey in Digital Assets.
