Decentralized Crypto Exchange Hashflow Raises $25M for Revolutionary RFQ Pricing Model

Decentralized Crypto Exchange, Hashflow, Raises $25 million in Series A funding round, led by Jump Crypto, Wintermute and GSR, bringing its valuation to $400 million, according to a blog post. 

The funding round with further participation from Dragonfly Capital Partners, Electric Capital, LedgerPrime and more, will help bolster their decentralized platform and user experience, which is centered around its request-for-quote (RFQ) model. 

The RFQ model differs significantly from other decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms, by pairing traders with professional market makers to set token prices. In other words, this sort of pricing is analogous to on-demand price comparison shopping. 

This is in contrast to other DeFi platforms which use automated market markets (AMMs) or mathematical formulas to price assets. 

“Our team is excited about Hashflow’s one-of-a-kind tech and its impressive growth, which has been achieved within a short window and on a lean budget,” President of Jump Crypto Kanav Kariya said. “Hashflow is well-positioned to scale its products and offerings to transform the entire DeFi space.”

Not only does this funding round allow Hashflow to further build out their team and products, but it allows them to maximize liquidity for their users, which has been somewhat of a struggle for crypto companies as of late. 

Hashflow was founded in San Francisco in 2021 with a goal of scaling DeFi through better pricing execution. They want to guarantee that trades go through regardless of asset or chain through their pricing model.
