Major airline AirAsia’s logistics division, Teleport, has launched a blockchain-based cargo booking system, dubbed Freightchain.

According to an announcement from AirAsia on Thursday, Freightchain is “the world’s first digital air cargo network run on blockchain.” The network, which launches today, will enable shippers or freight forwarders to instantly book and confirm any of AirAsia’s 247 aircrafts to carry cargo.
