Crypto exchange Binance said in a statement on Thursday that customers can now join a mining pool for ETHW, the forked version of Ethereum.

According to the statement, there will be a promotional period until Oct. 29, during which participants will not be charged a fee.

Two weeks ago, Ethereum shifted its blockchain to a proof-of-stake system and created a new forked version of Ethereum, still powered by PoW. ETHW has been off to a rocky start but it there is hope of sustenance from customer support.
