Ziya Sadr, an Iranian Bitcoin educator and Youtuber, was arrested by Iranian security forces last month, according to multiple sources.

The arrest, which took place on the streets of Tehran on Sept. 19, came amid widespread protests against the government for their killing of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini.

According to multiple sources, Sadr was not participating in a protest at the time of his arrest. It is not clear if Sadr's arrest is related to his Bitcoin advocacy.

Sadr is currently being held in Fashafouyeh Prison, according to Yazdanmehr. He was set to be released on bail Sunday; however, it has been delayed due to mass arrests across the country.
