Head of crypto exchange FTX Sam Bankman-Fried backtracked on his decision of donating $1 billion in the next presidential election in an interview with Politico’s Morning Money.

Earlier this year, Bankman-Fried said he would spend more than $100 million on future political compaigns. That statement was taken back in the Politico interview.

Bankman-Fried spent almost $40 million on political action committees and campaigns this year, most of it going towards the Democratic party. He was one of Joe Biden's largest donors in the 2020 presidential election.
