Argentina’s tax collection agency AFIP and the government of Buenos Aires, arrested 40 people who were part of an illegal crypto mining operation, according to an announcement by the government.

AFIP found the offenders in a shed allegedly used for crypto mining and seized large amounts of cash and crypto mining equipment.

The AFIP has been cracking down on crypto operations since September in search of illegal crypto mining activity.
