FTX started declining in early November, after a CoinDesk article questioning the financials of FTX’s sister company Alameda Research led to a liquidity crisis within the company. Crypto exchange Binance later said it was going to buy the exchange but soon backed out of the deal. Currently, FTX is seeking bankruptcy protection in the US.
