Crypto derivatives exchange Bitget has registered in Seychelles as part of an effort to expand globally, according to reports by CoinDesk.

Last week, the exchange said it has started operations in Brazil and will allow customers to make crypto purchases.

Earlier this year, Bitget said it planned to increase its 800-people workforce to 1,000 by the end of the year. The exchange has since updated this goal, saying it now hopes to reach 1,200 by the first quarter of next year.

Bitget said it plans to set up more global branches as part of its expansion plan.
