Metal band Metallica has been warning fans against crypto giveaway scams just before their 72 Seasons album release.

Crypto scammers, hopping on the hype surrounding Metallica’s new album release and upcoming tour, have been active again.

In a Twitter post, Metallica said that Metallica crypto giveaways are scams, urging people to interact only with verified accounts.

Crypto scams have risen by 500% this year on social media platforms, according to blockchain security firm CertiK.

Metallica’s alert is aimed at those who are the most vulnerable to such scams.
