Coinbase is waiving the conversion fees for users who wish to switch to USD Coin (USDC) as part of a campaign to get people to convert to USDC.

“The events of the past few weeks have put some stablecoins to the test and we’ve seen a flight to safety. We believe that USD Coin (USDC) is a trusted and reputable stablecoin,” said Coinbase in a blog post.

USDT, the third-most widely traded digital asset on Coinbase, plummeted to 93 cents following the FTX collapse. Even though that price level has risen to 99 cents since then, it still falls short compared to the $1 level most coins have returned to.
