Crypto exchange Binance began investigating suspicious behavior that arose from abnormal price changes on its platform early Sunday morning. Forty minutes into the investigation, Binance CEO Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao confirmed that the price fluctuations were just “market behavior.”
The exchange, however, is still taking proactive measures, blocking withdrawals for accounts who profited during the volatile time. The action sparked complaints online, to which CZ replied, “There is a balance to how much we should intervene.
Binance said it will keep investigators updated on the ongoing investigation.
