Crypto.com has received a Payment Institution License in Brazil, the crypto exchange announced on Thursday.

Latin America is an important region for Crypto.com’s vision of cryptocurrency in every wallet as the region is a major driver in crypto adoption, said Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek and head of Latin American legal Marcos Jarne.

Just last month, Brazilian payments company CloudWalk became the first crypto company to obtain a Payments Institution License in the country. Now, Crypto.com is the first crypto exchange to do so.
