A recent survey by Visual Objects investigated 983 individuals on how they perceive and use cryptocurrency. The results show that 16% of the people investigated have invested in cryptocurrency. More than 70% of them have spent digital currency on day-to-day purchases – 38% on food, 34% on clothes. The results again reflect people’s doubt on the reliability and stability of cryptocurrency, but surprisingly reveal the everyday usage of digital currency.

Another survey by the Economist on 3000 individuals discloses that 34% of the respondents see digital currency as a tool for online purchases and payments. In contrast, 24% regard it as a technology they are interested in, and another 24% use it for short term investment.
