In a report from July 10, 2019, Canada will start to legally require that all cryptocurrency transactions be registered with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FinTRAC).  The enactment of this regulation on crypto trades can be expected as of June 1, 2020. The hope of this regulation is to reduce and limit money laundering and terrorist financing that occur under crypto exchanges.
