After successfully completing its first hard fork in August 2019, Beam (BEAM), the privacy-focused altcoin, plans to execute its second hard fork in June 2020.

According to an April 22 blog post, Beam’s second fork will occur at block 777,777, moving the network’s PoW algorithm over from BeamHash II to BeamHash III.

The new algorithm will offer users fuller GPU card capabilities and unlock new features such as confidential assets, one-sided payments, and the support of privacy protocol, Lelantus Mimblewimble.
