Summary: Argentina’s central bank has joined the race to test the blockchain technology. According to Decrypt, Argentina’s central bank announced on Tuesday, April 21, that it is developing a new payment system based on the Bitcoin smart contract network of IOV Labs.

Following the step of many other countries, Argentina’s central bank has joined the race to test the blockchain technology. According to Decrypt, Argentina’s central bank announced on Tuesday, April 21, that it is developing a new payment system based on the Bitcoin smart contract network of IOV Labs.

The new payments system will grant the central bank immediate access to the status of each claim from beginning to end. IOV Labs is a Bitcoin-based platform which powered Bitcoin smart contract platform RSK with a $325,000 investment earlier in the year, as reported by Coinspeaker.
