El Salvador is in talks of opening a “bitcoin embassy” in Texas, El Salvadorian Ambassador to the US Milena Mayorga said on Tuesday.

The embassy will aid the exchange of economic projects, according to Mayorga.

El Salvador was the first country to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender in 2021. Recently, the country passed a law that will allow bitcoins to back bonds.
