Uniswap Labs has announced plans to release a new self-custodial mobile wallet that will allow users to swap crypto without having to switch blockchains, according to reports by Cointelegraph.

The seed phrases and private keys of all wallets will be encrypted and stored on devices using Apple’s Secure Enclave, with the option to store seed phrases on paper or iCloud, according to Uniswap.

Uniswap has faced issues with Apple’s App Store regarding its mobile wallet, with the final build rejected by Apple just a few days before its launch in December.

Despite having fixed all of the tech company’s concerns, Uniswap has still not received the green light to launch, thereby, putting it in a limbo state.

As a result, the protocol is testing its wallet on Testflight while waiting for Apple to approve the launch.
