According to coindesk.com, the Thai financial market regulator has banned several cryptocurrencies as the underlying transaction to invest in ICO (initial currency public offering).The country's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued rules in July last year requiring any entity seeking to sell tokens to apply for approval. At the time, it stated that only Thailand’s national currency, Thai Baht and seven cryptocurrencies, could be used to invest in ICO: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Litecoin ( LTC), Ripple(XRP) and Stellar(XLM).
