Prominent YouTuber DidYouKnowGaming was able to regain access to his YouTube channel after his account was hacked to promote XRP cryptocurrency scams, according to reports by Cointelegraph.

After breaking into his account, the hackers changed the YouTuber’s profile and cover pictures to Ripple’s logo.

YouTube swiftly intervened and prohibited the hackers from interacting with the channel’s subscribers.

Recently, there has been an increase in YouTubers reporting hacks on their channels. Not long ago, Linus Tech Tipsone of the largest YouTube creators, also reported an exploit on his channel.

The threat of crypto hacks have become more prominent, considering the rise of deepfakes, which allow hackers to create impersonations of prominent business figures.

Just recently, Chinese tech giant Tencent announced it was launching a new deepfakes generator, allowing people to impersonate anyone for 1,000 yuan ($145).
