YouTube, the video-sharing giant, has suspended the channel of Ripple CTO David Schwartz shortly after the blockchain firm filed a lawsuit against it over XRP scams in videos.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Schwartz, who is also known by his online moniker of “Joel Katz,” said "Weirdly, YouTube just decided to suspend my channel (SJoelKatz) for impersonation. I wonder who they think I was impersonating."

According to YouTube’s Guidelines the company can "terminate" channels for predatory behavior, hate speech, harassment, as well as impersonation. Channel owners are banned from creating new channels, but can submit an appeal request if they believe their channel was suspended or terminated in error.
