According to conjournal.net, China's Internet giant Tencent's digital bank WeBank has signed a cooperation agreement with the Macau Science and Technology Development Fund (FDCT), which was established by the Macau government to develop smart city projects and the public services, government management and talent training in the infrastructure sector. According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in the development of financial technology projects to promote the “future urban development” of the Macau SAR using blockchain, AI, big data, cloud computing and other technologies to enhance the technological capabilities of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau.
