Nasdaq Is Collaborating with Software Firm R3 to Boost Digital Assets Marketplaces

Nasdaq and R3, a blockchain software company, are launching a long-term, non-exclusive collaboration to build full lifecycle solutions for digital assets marketplaces that operate on a 24x7x365 basis, according to a press release of R3 today.

Nasdaq’s Market Technology business will adopt R3’s blockchain software, Corda, to support institutional-grade assets by raising transparency standards.

“R3’s Corda platform will fit well into Nasdaq’s technology ecosystem and partnership strategy and allow us to harness the power of scalable design and a new level of interoperability,” said Johan Toll, Head of Digital Assets, Market Technology at Nasdaq.
