Bybit announced in a blog post on Tuesday that it will begin exiting the Canadian market as early as May 31 due to recent regulatory developments in Canada

The exchange stated: "It has always been Bybit's primary objective to operate our business in compliance with all relevant rules and regulations in Canada. In light of recent regulatory development, Bybit has made the difficult but necessary decision to pause the availability of our products and services."

Bybit said that as of May 31, it will no longer open new accounts and existing customers will have time to make new deposits and sign new contracts before July 31. It was noted that users will be able to withdraw or reduce their positions after the deadline.

Earlier this month, Binance announced that it would cease operations in Canada, citing a challenging regulatory environment.
