According to a recent report released by Web3 portfolio app De.Fi, decentralized finance (DeFi) hacks and scams in the second quarter of 2023 have resulted in over $204 million in losses. Compared to the same period last year, the number of DeFi hacking incidents in the second quarter has grown nearly sevenfold, totaling 117 cases. The main causes were "access control issues" and exploits, resulting in a total loss of $131.1 million. However, when compared to the first quarter, second quarter losses from DeFi hacks and scams have decreased.
