The donation allegedly passed through a limited liability company called "PassionForest," prompting concerns about the potential illegal transfer of anonymous funds to bolster Suarez's super PAC. However, a spokesperson for Soto-Wright refuted the accusations, affirming that Soto-Wright is indeed the CEO of PassionForest and denied any wrongdoing. Samuel Brown, a partner at law firm Holland & Knight, asserted that Soto-Wright's personal donation is in compliance with federal campaign finance regulations.
