According to a press release on July 25 from the Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of New York, Richard Castro must forfeit $4 million in funds including bitcoin after pleading guilty to charges of money laundering and selling controlled substances. 

Castro is alleged to have sold carfentanil, fentanyl, and phenyl fentanyl on dark web markets such as AlphaBay and Dream Market.
