Lazarous, the notorious hacking group, is reportedly boosting efforts to steal cryptocurrency from traders and industry professionals.

According to an article from the Daily NK on May 11, the hacker group has been focusing their attacks on South Korean and American crypto holders amid the coronavirus pandemic.

ESTsecurity, a cybersecurity firm, cautioned that Lazarus has been sending out adaptive persistent threats (APTs) at an increased rate. APTs are prolonged and targeted cyberattacks that give hackers access to a network while remaining undetected.
