The Vietnam finance ministry has created a research group to which is geared toward developing and scrutinizing digital currency-related policy proposals.

According to an announcement on Monday,  the group will be made up of nine members led by the Vice Chairman of the State Securities Commission, Pham Hong Son. The group will also include representatives of the country’s securities regulator, the General Department of Taxation, the National Institute for Vietnam Finance, Vietnam Customs, and the State Bank of Vietnam’s Department of Banking and Financial Institutions.
