Judge Manish Shah from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois approved a settlement between Binance and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), according to a statement released by the CFTC.

Under the settlement, Changpeng Zhao will have to pay $150 million, one-third of which will have to be paid within the next 30 days. Binance will have to pay a $2.7 billion penalty to the CFTC.
