Vitalik Buterin says the Ethereum 2.0 is on course to meet its “Phase 0” pre-launch requirements, with the first ETH 2.0 multi-client testnet launched four days ago, at CoinDesk’s virtual conference on Monday.

According to the Block, the latest testnet, Schlesi, marks a critical step for the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) ETH 2.0 development, as a pre-launch requirement that at least two compatible clients need to run a testnet together for two or more months.

Lighthouse from Sigma Prime and Prysm from Prysmatic Labs have synced to validate Schlesi. Nimbus and PegaSys’s Teku have also synced with the new network and claimed on the way to fully join the Schlesi.
