District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Robert F. Kelly, has denied the request from Mark Karpeles, former CEO of defunct crypto exchange platform, Mt. Gox, to dismiss the class action laws suit against him. Previous user of Mt. Gox, Gregory Pearce, filed the lawsuit against Karpeles representing the users affected by the downfall of the platform. In the lawsuit, Pearce claims that Karpeles had knowledge of the security bugs and did not disclose them to the public. Karpeles filed to dismiss the lawsuit claiming that the Philadelphia court does not have jurisdiction in the case.
