The CEO of messaging platform Telegram has announced the company has abandoned their regulatory battle for the Telegram Open Network (TON) and Gram (GRAM).

According to a message on Tuesday from Telegram CEO Pavel Durov, the company is calling it quits on the Telegram Open Network and the linked GRAM tokens. Burov states in the message that a lengthy battle with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) was to blame for the project coming to an end.
