During an interview at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire expressed optimism about the United States potentially passing legislation on stablecoins this year. He noted that there's a growing pace of regulatory developments in the crypto sector worldwide, making it more probable for the U.S. to approve stablecoin regulations soon. Allaire pointed out that other nations have already started regulating the dollar, and emphasized the urgency for the U.S. to act promptly to preserve its leadership position and safeguard consumers. Echoing Allaire's sentiments, Dante Disparte, Circle's chief strategy officer and global head of public policy, also concurred, predicting that the US will introduce stablecoin regulations in 2024.
