The New York State Attorney General's Office (OAG) announced on Friday that it is expanding its lawsuit against Digital Money Group, Inc. (DCG), DCG CEO Barry Silbert, and Genesis Global Capital, LLC, seeking $3 billion in claims.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James said that after continued investigation, it was found that the defendants committed additional fraud of up to $2 billion on more customers, defrauding more than 230,000 investors in total, with a total amount of more than $3 billion.

In light of the complaints, the OAG filed an amended lawsuit seeking more than $3 billion in damages for defrauded investors.
