BlackRock CEO Larry Fink said in an interview with Fox that launching a spot Ethereum ETF is still “possible” even if the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) designates Ethereum as a security. When asked if the next Ethereum fund would emerge, Fink said: “We’ll see.”
According to reports, the US SEC is studying the issue of whether Ethereum is a security. Fortune reported earlier this month that the agency is seeking to classify ETFs as securities and has issued subpoenas to several crypto companies as part of the investigation.
