The British government will introduce legislation for stablecoins and crypto asset staking, exchanges and custody by June or July, Economics Secretary Bim Afolami told the Innovative Finance Global Summit on Monday.
Afolami said the country was now working to pass legislation to put final recommendations on regulation into place. Once online, a series of crypto asset activities including operating exchanges, custody of customer assets, etc. will enter the scope of supervision for the first time.
