In a press release shared with Cointelegraph on August 6, 2019, the Series A funding round included participation from Winklevoss Capital, Galaxy Digital, ConsenSys Ventures, Akuna Captial, Avon Ventures, Susquehanna, CMT Digital, Morgan Creek, and PJC. The funding is said to be used to expand the sequence of products on BlockFi's platform, which includes interest-earning accounts for Bitcoin and crypto-backed USD loans.
