13F filings disclosed by financial institutions - those required to report their holdings as of the end of the first quarter of 2024 - provide specific information on which organizations purchased spot Bitcoin ETFs and for how much.

Fintel data shows that 414 institutions hold the BlackRock spot Bitcoin ETF, with Millennium Management holding the largest position, owning a BlackRock ETF worth $844 million, followed by Schonfeld Strategy Advisors and Aristeia Capital.

Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said the number was “unbelievable and record-breaking.”
