According to Bloomberg, Standard Chartered Bank is setting up trading desks for Bitcoin and Ethereum, making it one of the first global banks to enter spot cryptocurrency trading, according to people familiar with the matter.

Two unnamed people familiar with the matter said the new cryptocurrency trading department is about to begin operations and will become part of the bank's foreign exchange trading department. One of the people familiar with the matter said the department will be operated by the company's London office.
